Gealan Acrylcolor is a unique colouring technology for window profiles. Compared to standard PVC profiles, windows with Gealan Acrylcolor coating are more resistant to weather, mechanical damage, deformation from high temperatures, and offer greater durability and colour intensity.
What is Gealan Acrylcolor?
Acrylcolor is an acrylic glass-based coating applied to PVC profiles manufactured by the German company Gealan. This surface shows a high resistance to weather conditions, so the colour remains vivid for many years. Frames and sashes coloured with this method are more resistant to thermal deformation, discolouration, chipping and scratches than standard profiles.
Worth knowing
The effectiveness of this technology is confirmed in the automotive industry – acrylic glass has long been used in car taillights, protecting them effectively against weather exposure.
Applications of Gealan Acrylcolor technology

Acrylcolor suits a wide range of projects: modern, minimalist and classic architectural concepts. Colour intensity, fade resistance and a smooth satin finish attract the most demanding investors. Beyond aesthetics, many appreciate the ease of keeping the windows clean.
Which windows use the Acrylcolor coating?
Gealan Acrylcolor technology can only be used in plastic windows. This is due to the coating method—co-extrusion, which permanently bonds the PVC profile with acrylic glass in the chosen colour. During thermal treatment, the PVC melt fuses with the acrylic melt, and the coating is evenly distributed over the entire profile surface. Filplast uses the Acrylcolor-coated profile in its Viva 83 system.
Removing scratches from the window surface

Despite its high resistance, occasional scratches (e.g. from hail or mechanical impact) may occur. Minor scratches can be gently rubbed with a cleaning pad (e.g. Mirlon) and rinsed with a little water to restore a smooth, like-new surface.
Available Acrylcolor colours
The standard palette includes nine shades: RAL 7015, RAL 7016, RAL 7022 (Umbra grey), RAL 7039 (Quartz Grey), RAL 7040, RAL 8014, RAL 9005, Silber (close to RAL 9007), and DB 703.
